IG’s full range of Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP) skin doors combine stunning looks with high performance and low maintenance.

Like Steel Woodgrain doors, Glass Reinforced Polymer doors feature realistic timber texturing to provide all the natural beauty of timber with none of the disadvantages. Constructed from two glass reinforced polymer skins permanently bonded to a rigid polyurethane core and glued around timber stiles, Glass Reinforced Polymer doors will not warp, bow, split or rot and have a thermal insulation value of up to four times that of timber doors.

By the use of a variety of glazing options (see Decorative Glazing) and matching sidelights, Glass Reinforced Polymer doors can be matched to almost every type of dwelling in both new build and refurbishment applications. Door units can be supplied with a range of IG standard ironmongery (see Locks and Lever Furniture) or customised to accept individual specifications. A range of frame and sill options is also available (see Frame and Sill Details, Part M Frames, Frame Types and PVCu Frame Sizes).

Glass Reinforced Polymer doors are supplied as complete systems consisting of doors pre-hung in frames fitted with weathersealing components to ensure maximum effectiveness with minimum site labour.

Paint Finishes (internal and external panels)
Standard finish is primed ready for site painting. Factory Finish is an optional extra in a choice of standard colours. Any British Standard colour can be matched to special order.
